2nd Hole

Second hole view

Features

From an exposed tee, immediately adjacent to the promenade, the drive is over a raised "hogs-back"fairway into a two tiered flat-bottomed valley. The valley is drained by an open dyke reachable only by the longest hitters. A short or mis-hit drive definitely brings the dyke into play. Midway between the dyke and green are two sand traps with two bunkers guarding the green right and left.

Pro's Tip

Other than the out-of-bounds there are no particular problems to the drive, the best line being over the marker post. The second shot presents the most problems, particularly after a poor drive as this can bring either the dyke or sand traps (or both!) into play. Again better to over club the approach shot to the green as all the danger is at the front.
