Club Officials
The faces behind the titles

President - Bob Campbell
Bob has been a member of Morecambe Golf Club for over 40 years and was Club Captain in 1988. He is a very keen single-figure handicap golfer, having played at both County and top Club level. He has held just about every position of authority within the club serving at various times as chairman of the Greens, House and Competitions committees, during his many years as a Director of the Club.
Having now retired from work Bob feels that he can devote even more time to his passion for the game of golf and the club he loves.

Captain - Rob Kavanagh
Rob Kavanagh has been a member of Morecambe Golf Club for over 30 years and whilst having only been a director of the club during his year as Vice-Captain has served the club in many other important roles. None more so than promoting and directing the annual Morecambe Bay Golf Festival of which he was a co-founder some ten years ago.
He is a keen sportsman and, particularly interested in golf and football (both round and oval ball). Although the first to admit that his golf is not of the same standard as when he first joined the club with a 12 handicap; he still derives as much pleasure from the game and the company of other golfers as ever.
Rob has one tremendous attribute, he is a good listener. His overiding ambition, as Club Captain, is help his fellow members enjoy the game as much as he does and promote the interests of every section of the Club.

Lady Captain - Pat Forrest
Pat is a long-standing and popular member of the Club and holds a deep respect for the game of golf and its traditions. She has a long and close family association with Morecambe Golf Club, through her husband Geoff and much respected late father-in-law Maff.
Though golf is her passion, gardening comes a close second with the family home garden, in Bolton-le-Sands, well admired both locally and further afield. It is to be hoped that Geoff will keep things ticking over during her year in office!
