2008 Open Competitions

Preliminary dates and availability

The following competitions are open to all golfers who are in possession of a current golf handicap and fulfill the entry qualifications*. Junior players are not permitted to enter unless specifically stated.

Please note that as a result of recently introduced regulations by the golfing authority (CONGU); certain entry qualifications and handicap limits have been revised. All prospective competitors should check with the organisers before placing a booking and commencement of play.

Please note that, because of last minute withdrawals, places can become available right up to the day of a competition and it is recommended that those wishing to take a chance on available tee times contact the Secretary. You may also wish to contact the Pro Shop (01524 415596) on competition days, when the office is closed, to double check .

Best two Scores to Count - Team Prizes to 4th place
Entrance Fee: £50.00 per team

19th August 		Ladies Am/Am Medal
Team Event
(August Meeting) 		Teams of four - Full Handicap - 7/8 allowance
Best two Scores to Count per hole
Entrance Fee: £40.00 per team
(1 Junior with full handicap allowed per team)
Sunday
24th August 		Mixed Stableford Team Event Stableford - 7/8 handicap. Max Men 20, Ladies 30
Best Man, Best Lady to Count - Team Prizes to 3rd place
Entrance Fee: £48.00 per team
Monday
25th August 		Junior Medal **
( For Juniors under 18ys on 1/1/2008 )

Medal - Handicap Limits - Boys 36 : Girls 40
(Qualifying Round for "Daily Telegraph -Junior Golfer of the Year")
Prizes for Best Overall Gross, Best Overall Nett
plus Divisional Prizes.
Thursday
2nd October 		Three Lady Stableford
15 Hole Team Event
(Autumn Bottle)		 Stableford Full Handicap - 7/8 allowance - 15 Holes
1 Score on Par 3's, 2 Scores on Par 4's, 3 Scores on Par 5's
Entrance Fee: £24.00 per team

*Please note that all Winners will be required to produce a Handicap Certificate.

** Address applications to the "Junior Open Organiser" or the Professional.

Dress Rules: Smart casual in the Clubhouse and on the course at all times.
