  1. BOOKINGS
    To confirm a provisional booking made by telephone the booking form enclosed is required to be completed, signed by the party organiser and returned within seven days otherwise we cannot guarantee that the booking will be available. Special packages have been arranged for parties of more than eight golfers.
  2. HANDICAPS [top]
    The party organiser is responsible for ensuring that all members of the party are bona fide members of Golf Clubs and are in possession of Handicap Certificates which may be required for examination. When returning the booking form, we will also require a list of the party's names, the names of their Golf Clubs and their current handicap.
  3. PAYMENTS [top]
    • DEPOSITS - Payment of the deposit of £5 per player is required to be sent with the booking form, payable to Morecambe Golf Club, to secure the booking and is NON REFUNDABLE. The balance of the green fee for each player will be payable on the day and the Club reserves the right to withhold the deposit if your numbers are severely reduced from those originally booked.
    • GREEN FEES – Payment to the Professional Shop please by cash, cheque or credit card
      (visa/mastercard).
    • CATERING - Payment to the Caterer please by cash or cheque only.
  4. CANCELLATIONS [top]
    If we receive notification of cancellation 28 days before the date booked only the deposit is
    forfeited. In all other cases, the Club reserves the right to request full payment.
  5. FIRST TEE [top]
    Starting times for visiting parties will be allocated at the time booking is confirmed. In order to avoid unnecessary delays in the commencement of play, please ensure that your party is ready at the 1st Tee ten minutes before your given teeing off time. Alternative times cannot be guaranteed for anyone missing allocated starting times.
  6. PLAYING FORMAT [top]
    Any form of Texas Scramble or team competitions are NOT allowed at any time. Medal play is not allowed at weekends.e or other similar team competition is NOT allowed at any time.
  7. ON ARRIVAL [top]
    It would be appreciated if your party organiser would make contact with the staff in the Professional's shop where our Professional, Simon Fletcher, or one of his helpful staff will be there to greet you and to answer any questions you may have. Scorecards, prizes for your day and any other last minute requirements will be available from the Professional's shop. It would also be appreciated if final numbers can be established and confirm the type of playing format your party wish to play. Either putting green may be used but please note that no chipping is allowed to the putting greens or in the vicinity of the 1st tee.
  8. CATERING [top]
    Our Caterer and their friendly staff will see to all of your catering requirements. A menu will be handed to you by the Caterer on your arrival for each individual to choose their main course. If any of your party are vegetarians or require special catering, this should be discussed with the Caterer well in advance. Alterations in the number of meals ordered must be advised 48 hours beforehand, otherwise all meals ordered must be paid for in full. The catering costs should be paid direct to the Caterer.
  9. DRESS [top]
    Morecambe Golf Club expects that members/visitors look smart and cleanly presented at all times and maintain a respectable standard of dress both on the Course and in the Clubhouse. The following are NOT considered suitable either on the Course or in the Clubhouse:-
    • Denim Jeans or any blue denim apparel
    • Beach wear
    • Track suits, shell suits or football shorts
    • Cargo or combat trousers with pockets
    • Gent’s sleeveless or collarless shirts
    • Training shoes
    • Golf caps worn back to front or to the side

    Players are encouraged to wear golf attire that can be purchased from a Professional Golf Shop

    • Tailored shorts to be worn with either “no show” or predominantly
      light coloured sports socks
    • All shorts to be of a respectful (or modest) length
    • Sandals without socks may be worn in the Clubhouse after golf but please NO flip flops
    • Golf shirts may be worn on the outside if they do NOT have shirt tails
    • Golf caps/golf headgear should be removed in the Clubhouse
  10. The dress in the Lounges and Dining Room after 7.00pm will be smart casual. The Professional is authorised to refuse play to any visitor who fails to observe the dress on course rules. The Steward will advise and assist to ensure that visitors enjoy the Clubhouse and help to maintain the standard expected at Morecambe Golf Club.

  11. BUGGIES/TROLLEYS [top]
    From the 1st April 2010 we have introduced 4 x two-seater “ride on” buggies available for hire from the Professional subject to availability. Pull trolleys are also available for hire. Visitors own “ride on” buggies are not permitted without prior written approval. Visitors are advised to check the playing conditions prior to their visit and be aware that there may be restrictions during inclement weather.
  12. DOOR SECURITY CODES [top]
    The visitors' and ladies’ changing rooms are located on the lower level and the keycode numbers are available from the Professional's shop along with the keycode number for the entry door from the course to the lower level. The keycode numbers for the Course toilets are displayed in the changing rooms.
  13. GENERAL [top]
    Parking is only permitted in the designated parking bays. Visitors are advised that vehicles are parked at their own risk and the Club does not accept any responsibility for any loss of contents from or any damage to such vehicle.
    • (a) Mobile phones may not be used either in the Clubhouse or on the Course.
    • (b) It is recommended that visitors take out insurance to cover personal liability and personal accident.
    • (c) Personal property left in the Clubhouse is at the owner’s risk and the Club accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage.
  14. GOLF ETIQUETTE [top]
    Please try to make your round of golf as pleasant as possible by letting others through if you are looking for a ball or holding them up and pick up if you are unable to score. Three and a half hours is considered to be adequate for the completion of a game of golf.
