The Course
Play the course, breathe the view
Nestled on the Lancashire coast, Morecambe Golf Club offers an 18-hole championship course designed by the legendary Alister MacKenzie. With its stylish parkland character and sweeping views across Morecambe Bay to the Lakeland hills, the layout challenges golfers of all levels while remaining approachable. Measuring around 5,791 yards with a par of 67 from the white tees, the course may be modest in length by modern standards, but what it lacks in yardage it more than makes up for in character and precision.
Generous fairways open up into deceptively protected greens, many guarded by strategic bunkers and the occasional water hazard. The front nine rises gently towards the bay, with the standout 13th hole providing a spectacular vista as you crest the fairway and gaze out over the water. Off the course, the clubhouse exudes warmth and camaraderie, offering a welcoming space to relax and enjoy the stunning coastal outlook after play. If you haven't played Morecambe before then maybe now is the time?
